Chinese Government Scholarship-Bilateral Program (Full or Partial Scholarship)
I. Eligibility
1. Applicants must be American citizens in good health.
2. Educational background and age limits (as of September 1):
(1) B. A in Chinese Language program: hold a high school diploma or above and be under the age of 25;
(2) Master's programs: hold a bachelor's degree or above and be under the age of 35;
(3) Long-term Chinese Language program: hold a high school diploma or above and be under the age of 45;
II. Application Procedures
1. Applicants should apply to Education Office of Chinese Embassy for scholarship opportunity.
2. Applicants shall complete online application at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn and print out the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarships. The Scholarships Application Form should be completed in Chinese or English and signed by the applicant.
3. Applicants should submit all of the application materials to the Education Office of Chinese Embassy before the deadline.
III. Application Period: January to April. Applicants may refer to Education Office of Chinese Embassy for specific deadline.
IV. Result Release Time: August.

I. Eligibility

Application for the Scholarships will be considered only after the applicant has been admitted to Xiamen University.

Applicants shall complete online application at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn (Program Category: Type B; Agency No. of XMU: 10384) and print out the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarships. The Scholarships Application Form should be completed in Chinese or English and signed by the applicant.
2. Applicants shall complete online application at (B. A in Chinese Language program: http://mcsc.xmu.edu.cn:8080/register_step0.aspx; Master programs: http://application.xmu.edu.cn) and upload the scan copy of Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarships. There is no need to mail paper application materials.

A in Chinese Language program: Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarships, high school diploma or certificate of expected graduation & notarized translation in English or Chinese, academic transcripts for high school studies & notarized translation in English or Chinese, Chinese language proficiency certificate (HSK), a letter of recommendation in Chinese or English, personal statement (minimum 800 words), scanned copy of valid regular passport (valid through October 31, 2020), financial support guarantee statement ( https://admissions.xmu.edu.cn/16900/list.htm) and its supporting documents including a copy of the financial sponsor’s valid passport or identification certificate,Foreigner Physical Examination Form ( https://admissions.xmu.edu.cn/16899/list.htm) completed in Chinese or English, bearing the stamp of the hospital. I. Eligibility
1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, with good academic performance and conduct.
2. Applicants should committed to the teaching and international promotion of the Chinese language.
3. Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 35 (as of September 1). Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall not be over 45.
II. Application Procedures
Applicants shall complete online application at http://cis.chinese.cn and upload the required documents. Xiamen University should be chosen as the host university.
III. Application Period
1. Before April 20 (for July entry).
2. Before May 20 (for September entry).
3. Before September 20 (for December entry).
4. Before November 20 (for March entry).
IV. Result Release Time: 3 months before enrollment.
